I do a lot of gardening in containers and rather than throw away used potting soil, I rejuvenated it by dumping the old stuff out of the pot and mixing it with Organimax compost, Organimax.net, especially formulated to energize worn out soils, at a rate of 3 parts of the used material to one part of the compost.
